The soul of a Bergerie, the spirit of a Lodge

The story of the Bergerie

Long ago, La Bergerie de Lozzi was home to a small herd of goats, rabbits, and a little donkey – all lovingly cared for by Myriam, who lived in tune with the rhythm of the seasons.

On these wild lands, bathed in sunlight and brushed by the wind, pastoral life thrived : the morning milk, fresh cheeses, and the peaceful silences filled with birdsong and the whisper of pine trees.

When the goats were gone, the place remained – but it needed a new life. That’s when Éric took over. With his hands, his strength, and his heart, he rebuilt the bergerie, staying true to its origins. Local wood, natural materials, and traditional craftsmanship brought new life to its walls and to the open terrace overlooking the vast Niolu valley.

Today, this ecolodge welcomes travelers in search of beauty and authenticity. The Bergerie opens its doors as a refuge – a haven beyond time, between mountains, rivers, and a starry sky.

About Us

It’s us – Myriam and Éric.

Myriam is the plant enthusiast. She spends her days with her hands in the earth -sowing, taking cuttings, watering, and chatting with her vegetables and hens as if they were old friends.

Éric is the tireless mountaineer. He has already climbed 121 peaks over 2,000 meters, simply for joy of seeing Corsica from above…and he’s always finding a new rock to conquer.

Surrounded by our dogs and hens, we share simple joys: the sunrise, a good coffee, laughter, the silence of the mountains…and meaningful encounters.

The Bergerie is our little corner of paradise: a simple, vibrant place, open to all who love the beauty of genuine things.
