The Bergerie
Here, you breathe, you dream and you reconnected….
At 1,000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Niolu valley, La bergerie de Lozzi is a place apart – a peaceful refuge where you listen to nature, savor the silence, and return to what truly matters.
Built from natural materials : wood, hemp, cork and sheep’s wool, the bergerie has kept its old time charm while embracing an eco-friendly approach.
Entirely powered by solar energy, it lives with the sun and the passing seasons.
Above the house, a pair of red kites often circle in the sky, tracing wide loops overhead. Around the garden, bees hum and from time to time a few small visitors wander in – a discreet spider, a curious mouse, or a lost fly.
Life flows freely, inside and out – and that’s part of the magic of this place.
The garden’s bees also take part in daily life here : their honey, harvested on site, is served at breakfast for our guests.
Life at the bergerie is shared as well with our three white dogs – gentle gardians – and a small flock of hens, who wander freely through the garden and gift us fresh eggs each morning.
Families with babies are welcome : a high chair and a travel cot can be provided upon request.
Here, there’s no television. Instead you’ll find books, puzzles, games for children, chess and card or tarot decks to enjoy.
Evenings unfold simply – around a meal, a game or a fireside conversation.
The kitchen, spacious and well equipped allows everyone to cook at their own pace : homemade cakes, shared recipes or mall barbecue skewers enjoyed outdoors.
